Contract 156IM - Supply, Installation and Monitoring of Instruments for North-South Line Extension

Soil Investigation Pte Ltd was awarded with a new contract totaling a sum of SG$2 million from the Land Transport Authority (LTA) on 1st March 2010.
The Works under Contract 156IM includes the supply, and installation of instruments, monitoring, recording and presentation of data from these instruments for civil construction works performed under Civil Contract C156.
The scope of works under NSLe Contract 156 (C156) comprises the Design, Construction and Completion of Station and Associated Tunnels at Marina South for North South Line Extension.
The North-South line Extension (NSLe) will be a 1.6 km long, fully underground rail transit system with one new station and associated tunnels
Built fully underground, the North-South Line Extension is an extension of the existing North-South Line that runs southwards from the overrun tunnels after the Marina Bay station into the Marina South area towards to the International Cruise Terminal (ICT).
When completed, the NSLe will provide commuters with an additional transport choice to Marina South Pier and upcoming developments in the vicinity such as the new cruise terminal and Gardens by the Bay. Construction of the NSLe is scheduled to commence in December 2009 and targeted for completion by 2014.
